Job summary

Allure of Mendota in Mendota, Illinois is seeking experienced Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses to provide direct resident care and supervise nursing assistants in a supportive skilled nursing setting. Positions include full-time and part-time Day and Night shifts with shift differentials.

Starting pay is $41/hour for RN and $38/hour for LPN, plus a $7,500 sign-on bonus for full-time staff. Illinois RN or LPN license and CPR are required, with prior long-term care experience

Qualifications

• Current Illinois RN or LPN license in good standing.
• CPR Certification required.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of nursing practices, regulations, and standards of care.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to make independent decisions in resident care situations.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise day-to-day activities of nursing assistants.
• Coordinate shift services, programs, and resident care activities.
• Provide leadership and guidance to assigned nursing staff.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required.
• Complete and maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
• Receive and transcribe physician orders.
• Prepare, administer, and document medications as ordered.
• Complete incident and accident reports per facility policy.
• Perform routine and skilled nursing procedures, including:
• Catheter care
• Tube feedings
• Wound care and dressing changes
• Suctioning
• Colostomy and drainage care
• Range of motion exercises
• End-of-life care
• Conduct rounds with physicians as needed
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper equipment use
• Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA
• Foster a calm, respectful, and supportive environment for residents and staff
• Participate in shift reports and interdisciplinary communication
• Perform other duties as assigned

Position Summary

As a Registered Nurse (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will provide direct nursing care to our residents and supervise the daily activities of Certified Nursing Assistants. You will work in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and support the Director of Nursing to ensure the highest level of quality care is consistently delivered.

Shifts Available

• Full-Time and Part-Time Positions
• Day Shift: 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
• Night Shift: 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
• Shift Differentials Available:
  • 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.: +$1.00/hour
  • 11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.: +$1.50/hour

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
