Job summary

Mercy South in Missouri seeks a Registered Nurse for Labor & Delivery on the night shift. The RN delivers patient-centered care, performs assessments, develops and implements care plans, and coordinates with physicians and care teams.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Current RN license in state or compact license.

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to patients in Labor & Delivery.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Implement, monitor, and evaluate treatment plans and outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and compliance with standards.
• Promote patient safety and comfort aligned with Mercy standards.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing (RN) program

Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or Compact RN License
• Must meet all applicable State Board of Nursing requirements

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• BLS may be obtained within 30 days of hire

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
• Ability to bend, twist, kneel, squat, reach, and perform direct patient care activities
