Lovelace Women's Hospital in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a day shift, full-time Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to join our team. The role includes direct patient care in a NICU-capable setting and potential Charge Nurse responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or Diploma of Nursing required.
• NM nursing license or NM compact license within 90 days of hire.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer.
• ACLS and/or PALS may be required by the Hiring Department.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Two years' experience in the specialty and two years general nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and support for the L&D team.
• May serve as Charge Nurse and oversee nursing practice.
• Adhere to policies, procedures and regulations to ensure patient safety.

• Lovelace Women's Hospital is a 53-bed advanced neonatal intensive care unit, family care unit, an award-winning breast care center and the first robotic surgery program in the state recognized as a Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery by Surgical Review Corporation.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for the practice of Professional Nursing, to include patient care and staff management assigned to the RN in his/her charge.
• May serve in the role of Charge Nurse and is accountable for professional practice.
• Adheres to policies and procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Associate's Degree or Diploma of Nursing
• Valid NM Nursing license or NM compact license (within 90 days of hire) and
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• HIRING DEPARTMENT MAY ALSO REQUIRE ACLS and or PALS
