Job Summary and Qualifications

We seek a skilled, compassionate RN to provide exceptional care in our 12-bed labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum unit. You will deliver direct nursing care to mothers and newborns, guiding them through their stay. If you thrive in a supportive, team-oriented obstetrics environment, apply now!

What you will do in this role:

  • Provide patient-centered nursing care and education to patients and families.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including obstetricians, anesthesiologists, lactation consultants, OB techs, and staff to support mothers and partners during labor.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions using electronic documentation systems.
  • Maintain cultural awareness and professionalism in interactions with patients, visitors, and colleagues.

Qualifications required:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
  • Current RN license in Virginia or multistate compact license.
  • At least 1 year of nursing experience in an acute care hospital.
  • Preferably 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience.
  • Current BLS/BCLS certification from American Red Cross or AHA.
  • NRP certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start.
