Job Description

This job acts as a leader in the provision of patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and Scope & Standards of Practice. It involves effectively delegating, directing, and assisting licensed and ancillary team members; assuming accountability for quality patient outcomes; exhibiting sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity; and maintaining involvement in activities aligned with the unit and department’s strategic goals. The role demonstrates professional responsibility and accountability and supports the company's philosophy of nursing.

Education
  • Required - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Preferred - Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Work Experience
  • Required - None.
Certifications
  • Required - Current RN license in the state of practice.
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Preferred - Certification in a clinical specialty area.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Job Duties
  • Use the nursing process effectively in patient care delivery.
  • Assess learning needs and implement appropriate teaching strategies for diverse patient and family needs.
  • Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources appropriately; serve as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team.
  • Utilize data and information to evaluate and promote change for optimal outcomes.
  • Enhance customer satisfaction and employee morale, and improve nursing practice.
  • Adapt behaviors to specific patient populations, respecting privacy and communication preferences.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
