Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Labor and Delivery (L&D) Unit at Texas Health Arlington Memorial in Arlington, TX. This full-time night shift role involves 36 hours weekly with 3-12 hour shifts and self-scheduling, delivering high-quality obstetric care in a Level III NICU setting.

Required are an RN with an Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma, BCLS and ACLS/NRP/NRPA/CPI training within specified timeframes, and 1 year of RN experience, preferably in

  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information.
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and during transfers.

Work hours: Full-time, Night Shift, 36 hours weekly, 3-12 hours shifts, 6:45 pm – 7:15 am – Self-Scheduling

L&D Department Highlights
  • L&D Unit with an average of 130 deliveries a month

Here’s What You Need
  • Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred
  • RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire required
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of hire
  • NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days of hire
  • NRPA-Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days
  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days
  • 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
  • 1 year of RN experience in L&D strongly preferred
