Job summary

St. Marys Medical Center in West Palm Beach, FL, seeks a Registered Nurse for day shifts in a full-time role. The RN coordinates and provides safe, quality care using the nursing process and helps organize patient care activities as assigned.

The position requires an RN license, BLS/CPR certification, and completion of required fetal monitoring courses within specified timeframes to support OB patients. A comprehensive benefits package is provided by the hospital.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Registered Nurse program.
• Current Registered Nurse license.
• BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association).
• Pass EKG test within 180 days of hire.
• ACLS within 180 days (if novice in OB).
• NRP within 90 days (if novice in OB).
• AWHONN Intermediate fetal monitoring course within 9 months (or approved equivalent).
• AWHONN FHM Advanced course may be required for OB experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess physical, psychosocial, educational and developmental needs of the patient.
• Develop a written plan of care using assessment data.
• Implement nursing care plan.
• Evaluate patient's response to interventions.
• Demonstrate leadership skills.
• Assist in organizing patient care activities.

Up to $10,000 SOB for qualified candidates, paid over 24 months.

The Registered Nurse, using critical thinking skills, coordinates and provides safe, quality care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Assists in organizing patient care activities as assigned.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assesses physical, psychosocial, educational and growth and development needs of the patient.

• Implements nursing care plan.

• License: REGISTERED NURSE

• Inexperienced (Novice or new to L&D): ACLS (AMERICAN HEART ASSN) - WITHIN 180 DAYS OF HIRE


• Inexperienced (Novice or new to L&D): NRP (AMERICAN ACADEMY OF PEDIATRICS) - WITHIN 90 days


• Inexperienced (Novice or new to L&D): AWHONN INTERMEDIATE FETAL MONITORING Course- WITHIN 9 months


• Experienced (>1 year OB experience within last 5 years): ACLS at hire


• Experienced (>1 year OB experience within last 5 years): NRP at hire


• Experienced (>1 year OB experience within last 5 years): Proof of current AWHONN Intermediate fetal heart monitoring course at hire or one of following: AWHONN FHM Advanced course


• Experienced (>1 year OB experience within last 5 years): AWHONN FHM Simulation (FHMSIM) Intermediate level


• Experienced (>1 year OB experience within last 5 years): C-EFM (NCC-Electronic FM)

St. Marys Medical Center (SMMC), part of the Palm Beach Health Network, is a 420-bed acute care hospital in West Palm Beach. The hospital has been serving Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast for more than 80 years. SMMC is a Level 1 Trauma Center, a state-designated Pediatric Trauma Referral Center, certified Comprehensive Stoke Center, and has a level III NICU.
