Qualifications

  • BCLS certification must be maintained quarterly.
  • Minimum 1 year RN experience preferred.

Job description

Fast-paced, high-volume neurosurgical department is seeking skilled nurses for our unit. Are you the right fit?

Work location: Texas Health Fort Worth, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104

Work hours: Full Time, 7:00 pm – 7:00 am, Rotating Weekends/Holidays

Department highlights:

  • Self-Scheduling promoting work/life balance and opportunities for growth
  • Engaged leadership team and robust Unit-Based Council (UBC)
  • 36-bed Neurosurgical Unit caring for patients with neurosurgical, elective spine, cervical and lumbar surgeries, brain tumors, cranial hemorrhages, and stroke patients
  • MAGNET designated facility
  • Level I Trauma Center

Here’s What You Need:

  • Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred
  • Current RN licensure or recognized compact licensure by the Texas Board of Nursing
  • BCLS certification, maintained quarterly
  • CPI and NIHSS certifications within 90 days of hire
  • Minimum 1 year RN experience or completion of an RN residency program
  • Neurosurgical RN experience preferred

In addition, successful candidates will:

  • Maintain confidentiality, demonstrate positive interpersonal skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Provide patient-centered care with a positive attitude
  • Exhibit professionalism and a strong work ethic
  • Possess basic computer skills in medical management systems
