Job summary

Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock, CA is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse to support the Imaging Department under supervision of cardiologists, radiologists, or surgeons.

You will perform pre-, intra-, and post-procedural nursing care, including conscious sedation, with focus on non-invasive imaging procedures. A strong background in ICU/CCU, CA RN license, BLS/ACLS, and excellent communication are essential; opportunities for professional growth and work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Formal RN program approved by the California Board of Registered Nurses (BSN preferred).
• Current California RN license in active status.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum 4 years RN experience in critical care (ICU/CCU) in an acute care hospital.
• Minimum 2 years recent conscious sedation experience.
• Non-Invasive Cardiology RN experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Able to wear PPE during procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing support and patient assessment during Non-Invasive Imaging procedures.
• Deliver direct patient care during pre-, intra-, and post-procedure phases.
• Provide conscious sedation and nursing functions in Imaging Department.
• Perform related duties as required.

Under the direction of the Cardiologist, Radiologist, Surgeon, or Director provides nursing support and nursing processes including patient assessment and intervention during Non-Invasive Imaging procedures. Provides direct patient care during the pre procedural, intra-procedural, and post-procedural phases. Performs, and is responsible for providing conscious sedation and a variety of nursing functions within the Imaging Department including Nuclear Medicine Stress Test and Non-Invasive Imaging Procedures. Performs other duties as required

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, hear and verbally communicate in English to the degree required to perform the job.
• Satisfactory completion of a formal Registered Nursing program as approved by the California Board of Registered Nurses. BSN preferred.
• Current State of California Registered Nurse License in Active status.
• Current BLS certification; current ACLS certification.
• Four (4) years minimum, experience as a Registered Nurse in critical care setting (ICU, CCU) in an acute care hospital. Critical care skills required; CCRN preferred.
• Two (2) years minimum, recent conscious sedation experience required.
• Non-Invasive Cardiology RN work experience is preferred.
• Completion of basic 12-lead EKG class (completion date- prior to 60th day of employment) as required.
• Physical requirements: must have adequate back and general health to wear personal protective equipment during procedures.
• Professional requirements: (per work history) excellent interpersonal communication skills; works well in team environments; and presents self in a calm and professional manner, including during stressful circumstances. Excellent attendance record
