Job summary

Advocate Health’s Pain Management unit in Green Bay, WI delivers comprehensive care for inpatients, outpatients, and observation-status patients with chronic or acute pain. Interventional procedures include epidural steroid injections, radiofrequency ablations, spinal cord stimulator trials, intrathecal pump trials, and various pain blocks.

We are hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) – Interventional Pain. Requirements include completion of an accredited nursing program, Wisconsin RN license, and BLS

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state where the teammate practices.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process, ensuring safe, therapeutic care per standards.
  • Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and best patient experience across the continuum using evidence-based practice and clear communication.

  • Variable start times between 0630-0830 for one week at a time
  • 9 Hour Shifts
  • No on call or holiday time - subject to change based on unit needs

Where You Will Work

The Pain Management Unit provides comprehensive care for inpatient, outpatient, and observation-status patients experiencing chronic or acute pain. Our multidisciplinary team specializes in a range of interventional procedures aimed at alleviating pain and improving quality of life. These procedures include:

  • Epidural steroid injections
  • Radiofrequency ablations
  • Spinal cord stimulator trials
  • Intrathecal medication pump trials
  • Various types of pain blocks

We primarily serve an adult patient population with diverse pain management needs, tailoring our approach to each individual's condition and response to therapy.

We’re Looking For
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
What You’ll Do
  • As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
