Job summary

MedStar Health seeks an experienced Intermediate Care (IMC)/Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center. Be part of a 48-bed unit with cross-trained telemetry and IMC patients, including chronic ventilator management and insulin drips, with mentorship and growth opportunities.

You'll join a collaborative team supported by Charge RNs to deliver skilled care, assess patient needs, and develop care plans across routine to high-acuity cases, in a setting offering

Qualifications

• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Prior Clinical Nursing Experience preferred.
• Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and BLS required.

About The Job

Join our 48-bed IMC/Medical-Surgical unit where nurses are cross-trained to care for both telemetry and IMC patients, including those requiring chronic ventilator management and insulin drips. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced acute care RNs looking to build their skills and transition into higher-acuity nursing. Our Charge RNs are out of the numbers, allowing them to provide hands-on support, mentorship, and clinical guidance throughout each shift. You'll work alongside a collaborative team with experienced leadership while enjoying flexible scheduling and opportunities for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs—from routine to highly complex. You will assess evolving patient conditions, identify actual and potential health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans. Interventions may be delivered directly or coordinated through collaboration with other members of the nursing team.

Qualifications

This position has a hiring range of

USD $36.50 - USD $60.34 /Hr.
