Registered Nurse (RN) - Intensive Care Unit - Perrysburg Hospital - Nights

Job Summary

The ICU RN is responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to critically ill patients by:

1. Assessing patient status using strong organizational and leadership skills.
2. Prioritizing patient problems and needs.
3. Implementing clinical nursing interventions for acute, critical patients requiring intensive care.
4. Developing and executing patient care plans to improve outcomes.
5. Ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment.

Essential Functions

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, create care plans, implement treatments, and evaluate their effectiveness.
• Prioritize information to take immediate, evidence-based actions using clinical judgment.
• Respond confidently to rapidly changing patient conditions.
• Administer medications safely according to policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as an RN.
• BLS certification; ACLS and PALS preferred at hire or required within specified timeframes.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience; 6 months in Med/Surg, Critical Care, Stepdown, or Emergency Department preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred but not required.
