Hartford Hospital is seeking a Full Time Wound Care/Ostomy Registered Nurse to provide expert nursing consultation for patients with acute and chronic wounds, ostomy and continence care. The role includes direct patient care, education, and collaboration with the Inpatient WOCN Team at Hartford Hospital.
The candidate will apply the nursing process within our professional practice framework, support transitions across care settings, and contribute to quality improvement and policy development.

Full Time position on the Inpatient Wound Team providing nursing consultation to a diverse population with acute wound, ostomy and continence issues.
The Wound Care/Ostomy Registered Nurse has the responsibility and accountability for utilizing the nursing process in the prevention and treatment of acute and chronic wounds, ostomy and continence care. Functions in roles of direct expert care, clinical resource, consultant, staff and patient educator. Applies the nursing process within the context of the organization's Framework for Professional Practice. Collaboratively manages transitions across the continuum of care, to assist patients or populations in achieving or maintaining an optimal level of health and achieving best outcome. Recognized as professional role model, mentor and clinical resource. Reports to Program Manager, Inpatient Wound Team.
