Hartford Hospital is seeking a Full Time Wound Care/Ostomy Registered Nurse for the Inpatient WOCN Team in Hartford, CT. The role provides expert wound, ostomy and continence care, educating patients and families while coordinating transitions across the care continuum.
The ideal candidate holds a BSN, with WOCNCB certification preferred, and has recent acute care experience. Weekend coverage is required, and the position reports to the Inpatient Wound Team program manager.

Full Time position on the Inpatient Wound Team providing nursing consultation to a diverse population with acute wound, ostomy and continence issues.
The Wound Care/Ostomy Registered Nurse has the responsibility and accountability for utilizing the nursing process in the prevention and treatment of acute and chronic wounds, ostomy and continence care. Functions in roles of direct expert care, clinical resource, consultant, staff and patient educator. Applies the nursing process within the context of the organization's Framework for Professional Practice. Collaboratively manages transitions across the continuum of care, to assist patients or populations in achieving or maintaining an optimal level of health and achieving best outcome. Recognized as professional role model, mentor and clinical resource. Reports to Program Manager, Inpatient Wound Team.
