Hartford Hospital is seeking a highly skilled WOC Nurse for the Inpatient Wound Team to provide expert wound, ostomy and continence care. You will use the nursing process to prevent and treat wounds and ostomy-related conditions, educate patients and staff, and coordinate care across transition points.
The role requires a BSN, and a WOCNCB-accredited education program with preferred certification. Weekend coverage and recent acute care experience are important.

Full Time position on the Inpatient Wound Team providing nursing consultation to a diverse population with acute wound, ostomy and continence issues.
The Wound Care/Ostomy Registered Nurse has the responsibility and accountability for utilizing the nursing process in the prevention and treatment of acute and chronic wounds, ostomy and continence care. Functions in roles of direct expert care, clinical resource, consultant, staff and patient educator. Applies the nursing process within the context of the organization's Framework for Professional Practice. Collaboratively manages transitions across the continuum of care, to assist patients or populations in achieving or maintaining an optimal level of health and achieving best outcome. Recognized as professional role model, mentor and clinical resource. Reports to Program Manager, Inpatient Wound Team.
