Job summary

Shriners Children's Ohio has an opportunity for a full-time night shift Pediatric RN to join our Inpatient Unit, providing compassionate, family-centered care to children requiring Med-Surg and ICU-level nursing, including those recovering from burns and complex craniofacial conditions.

The RN coordinates nursing care, educates patients and families, and supports transitions of care in a collaborative, family-centered environment, with leadership as a preceptor and involvement in quality

Qualifications

• BSN degree or in progress.
• Ohio RN License is required.
• BLS certification required.
• PALS certification preferred.
• 2+ years bedside RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care for Med-Surg and ICU pediatric patients.
• Educate patients and families and coordinate transitions of care.
• Provide formal and informal leadership as a preceptor.
• Support quality improvement efforts in the unit.

Job Description

Shriners Children's Ohio has an opportunity for a full-time night shift Pediatric RN to join our Inpatient Unit. In this unique role, you'll provide compassionate, family-centered care to children requiring Med-Surg and ICU-level nursing-including those recovering from burns and complex craniofacial conditions.

Key Responsibilities

The Inpatient RN is responsible for the coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care in a collaborative, family-centered environment.

The RN supports professional nursing practice across practice settings and across the continuum of care to meet the needs of the patient and family.

This position will provide leadership by acting as an informal and formal leader, preceptor and through quality improvement efforts.

Required Qualifications

• BSN degree or in process
• Ohio RN License
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years bedside RN experience (will consider new grads)
• Pediatric and ICU experience
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification

Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
