Frye Regional Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Inpatient Rehabilitation unit in Hickory, NC. The role involves 3x12 hour night shifts on a focused 20-bed unit with self-scheduling and every-other-weekend rotation to support work-life balance.

Ideal candidates hold an active NC RN license, with a BSN preferred. BLS is required within 30 days, and one year of RN experience is preferred to deliver high-quality patient care.

Qualifikationen

• Active North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact required. Licensure must be updated before employment begins.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
• One year of RN experience preferred.

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatments.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

The Inpatient Rehabilitation team at Frye Regional Medical Center offers a supportive, team-oriented culture where nurses work closely with therapists, physicians, and other interdisciplinary team members to help patients regain independence and return home safely. This 20-bed unit features self-scheduling, 12-hour shifts, and every-other-weekend rotation, helping promote flexibility and work-life balance. Nurses gain rewarding experience supporting patients through every step of their recovery journey while working alongside experienced leaders and a collaborative care team.

How you'll contribute

A Registered Nurse (RN)who excels in this role:

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current state RN license. Bachelor's degree preferred but not required. Additional requirements include:

• Active North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.

One year of experience preferred.
