Job summary

Trinity Health Chelsea Hospital in Chelsea, MI is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Inpatient Rehab unit. Provides patient-centered care on a rotating shift within a 40-bed rehab program in collaboration with U-M Health.

The role requires an RN license in Michigan, BSN preferred or willingness to obtain within five years, and at least 1 year of rehab nursing experience. Welcome Canadian nurses to apply.

• BSN degree or agreement to obtain BSN within five years.

• At least 1 year clinical experience in rehab as a nurse.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care tailored to age, developmental, cultural, and spiritual needs.
• Collaborate with Inpatient Rehab team to support patients recovering from brain injuries, strokes, amputations, and spinal cord injuries.
• Contribute to a collaborative program between Chelsea Hospital and University of Michigan Health.
• Support expansion of the 40-bed unit and participation in the SCI Model System.

Position Purpose:

The Registered Nurse Provides quality patient centered care considering age specific, developmental, cultural, and spiritual needs through competent clinical practice and application of the nursing process. They consistently integrate concepts of relationship-based care into practice and serves as a clinical and educational resource to others on the unit.

The Inpatient Rehab units at Chelsea Hospital care for patients requiring comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation after traumatic brain injuries, cerebral vascular accidents, amputations, debility, poly trauma or spinal cord injuries. Inpatient Rehab is a collaborative program between Chelsea Hospital and University of Michigan Health, staffed by a team of award-winning U-M Health rehab physicians and Chelsea Hospital nurses, therapists, and specialists.

Our Inpatient Rehabilitation unit has recently expanded to a 40-bed unit and is now accepting higher acuity patients. As part of our commitment to excellence in patient care, we are proud to be participating in the Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) Model System.

Shift Available: Rotating

Status Available: Contingent, not benefit eligible

Holiday commitment required

Required Qualifications

• Requires current Michigan Nursing License
• Graduation from accredited nursing program
• New hires must have a BSN degree or must agree in writing to obtain their BSN within five years
