Job summary

HCA Florida JFK Hospital in Atlantis, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our inpatient rehab and acute care team. You will assess patients, document care, administer medications, and collaborate with physicians using advanced patient monitoring and communication tools to deliver safe, high‑quality care.

We require an accredited nursing degree, Florida RN license or Compact licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and at least one year of acute care experience; rehab experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires active Florida RN license or Compact Licensure and BLS/ACLS/PALS certification.
• Minimum of one year acute care hospital RN experience; rehab experience preferred.

Job Summary and Qualifications

What you will do in this role:

• Assess patient condition during admission and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
• Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of physical inpatient rehab patients.

What you will need in this role:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current State of Florida Registered RN License, or
• Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification via American Heart Associationor American Red Cross
• A minimum of one year acute care hospital RN experience required
• A minimum of one year of experience with rehab patients preferred
