HCA Florida JFK Hospital seeks a Progressive Care Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. You will work with medical providers to provide pre-operative and post-operative care and advocate for patients to ensure an exceptional experience.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, timely documentation, medication administration, and staying current on meds and equipment for cardiac/medical-surgical patients.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current State of Florida Registered RN License or recognized compact licensure.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Minimum of one year acute care Med/Surg RN experience.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Progressive Care Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. The RN serves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.

What you will do in this role:

• Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
• Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current State of Florida Registered RN License, or
• Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification via American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• A minimum of one year acute care hospital Med Surg RN experience required
