This position is located at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (http://www.milwaukee.va.gov/). Milwaukee is in southeastern Wisconsin, about 90 minutes from Chicago, IL and Madison, WI, on the shores of Lake Michigan, famous for Summerfest, the world's largest music festival.

Responsibilities
  • Provide, direct, and supervise quality nursing care to a diverse veteran population in the Acute Care Inpatient Nursing Division on 4C.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on age-specific needs.
  • Coordinate care focusing on patient education, self-management, and satisfaction.
  • Administer medications and procedures per policies.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to influence care outcomes.
Skills and Requirements
  • Effective communication and confidentiality maintenance.
  • Adherence to safety protocols including infection control.
  • Use of evidence-based practice in daily care.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
