Job summary

Medlinkhealth Anesthesia Associates is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide care around cardiac catheterization, angiography, and related cardiovascular testing. You will pre-plan, assist with procedures, and support recovery with a focus on patient education and safety.

Responsibilities include scrubbing, monitoring sedation, operating cardiovascular equipment, and vascular access. Strong oncology experience and travel nursing background are valued, with required RN license and AHA BLS/ACLS

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience.
• Oncology experience required.
• Recent travel nursing experience highly preferred.
• Two supervisory references completed in the last two years.
• Active RN license required.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Current American Heart Association ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-procedure assessments, medication administration, procedural documentation, post-procedure recovery, and patient education.
• Provide nursing support for cardiac catheterization, angiography, stress testing, stress echocardiograms, nuclear and pharmacologic stress tests, tilt table testing, cardioversions, echocardiograms, and transesophageal echocardiograms.
• Assist with interventional radiology procedures, including patient preparation, procedures, and recovery.
• Scrub in during procedures and assist physicians and the cardiac catheterization team.
• Monitor patients receiving sedation and document care according to established policies.
• Operate and maintain cardiovascular and emergency equipment, including hemodynamic monitoring equipment, pacemakers/ICDs, intra-aortic balloon pumps, defibrillators, IV pumps, crash carts, and other clinical equipment.
• Apply Holter monitors, event monitors, and ambulatory blood pressure monitors and perform pacemaker interrogations.
• Insert PICC lines using ultrasound guidance and provide vascular access expertise and patient education.
• Participate in the transport of patients requiring advanced cardiac support, including intra-aortic balloon pumps or Impella devices.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, patients, families, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
