On-site position with patient-focused infusion therapies and collaboration with physicians and nurse practitioners. The ideal candidate has an accredited RN degree, BLS certification, and ideally ACLS with gastroenterology experience.

This position collaborates with physicians and nurse practitioners, both internally and externally, to develop and implement a seamless progression of care to meet the patient’s needs. This position administers infusion therapy treatments, and will set up patients with an IV to administer fluids or medication. This position will be responsible for reconstitution of the drug, ensuring the correct dosage of the medication is delivered to the patient, and reassure patients by addressing any questions they may have regarding the treatment. This position requires specialized training in infusion therapy and/or competency in gastroenterology. This position requires excellent venipuncture, patient care, communications skills and the ability to multi-task. The Infusion registered nurse provides professional nursing care to assigned patients in need of intravenous treatment. Administers Intravenous treatments as directed by a physicians or advance practice clinician. This role will determine appropriate venipuncture and observe patients’ IV treatment and record observations in the patients’ medical records. This role will also provide information to patients and families regarding intravenous treatment and procedures. The individual must have the ability to triage patients and workload. The RN must adhere to the RN scope of practice.
This is a part-time position working a maximum of 3 days a week (Tuesday - Thursday) or a minimum of 2 days a week (Wednesday and Thursday)
