Qualifications

• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engages in governance, quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care.
• Monitors patient conditions, updates care plans, and collaborates with the care team.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
• Evaluates outcomes and takes action as needed to improve care.
• May administer medications and therapies safely per protocols.
• Communicates effectively and delegates appropriately to team members.
• Pursues professional development and maintains required certifications.
• Adheres to the ANA Code of Ethics and ethical decision-making.
• Appropriate delegation to RNs, LPNs, and unlicensed assistive personnel.
• Maintains accurate, timely electronic health record documentation.
• May float to other units or facilities within the service area as needed.
• Demonstrates age-specific care appropriate to patients served.
