Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in state(s) where services are provided.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• BSN preferred.
• Telehealth/licensing requirements for telehealth practice may apply.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care, engaging patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds a culture of safety.
• Continuously evaluates patient and unit outcomes and takes action as needed.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to protocols.
• Demonstrates effective communication and appropriate delegation to team members.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units to meet patient care needs.
• Demonstrates knowledge of age-specific needs and applies appropriate care.
