Job summary

Hospital Sisters Health System in Decatur, IL, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Intermediate Care Unit (IMC). This full-time position offers a 36-hour work week with a day shift and a sign-on bonus up to $20,000.

The RN will provide compassionate care, collaborate with physicians, and educate patients and families on care plans and self-management. Eligible candidates must be licensed as an RN in the state of practice, with BLS certification required.

  • RN license in state of practice required.
  • BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families.
  • Promote health through nursing care in collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
  • Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and self-care.
  • Supervise assigned nursing staff in IMC as needed.

Pay Range:$34.00 - $51.00A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families. Promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families, and supervising assigned team members. Promotes patient's independence by establishing patient care goals, teaching patient, friends, and family to understand condition, medications, and self-care skills, and answering questions.
