Job summary

Desert Valley Hospital in Southern California seeks a Cardiovascular Lab nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care for adult and geriatric patients in the cardiovascular setting. You will collaborate with physicians, assist with equipment, and monitor patient hemodynamics during procedures.

Preferred BSN with active RN license, BCLS, ACLS on hire, and at least 1 year in a cardiovascular lab or CCU. Day shift, full-time with comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric patients in the cardiovascular lab.
• Communicate with physicians about patient condition.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and inventory.
• Acquire supplies for cases and ensure CV Lab needs are met.
• Monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data during procedures.
• Record patient status continuously in the cardiovascular lab.
• Participate in performance improvement activities.

Responsibilities

Provides direct patient care to adult and geriatric patient populations. Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. Communicates with physician continuously and as needed about patient condition. Assists with the maintenance of equipment and inventory. Assesses procedure room or equipment functioning and readiness. Obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs of the Cardiovascular Laboratory team are met. Monitors physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab. Monitors and records patients condition continuously while in the Cardiovascular lab. Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN); preferred.2. Active state Registered Nursing (RN) License; required.3. Current BCLS (AHA), ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current; required.4. One (1) year clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab doing cardiac work or in a Critical Care area; required.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $47.90 to $68.02.
