Job summary

Corona Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Intensive Care unit team. Reporting to the Director of Critical Care Services, you will manage adult and geriatric patients using the Nursing Process and stay aligned with California Nurse Practice Act guidelines.

You will ensure high standards of care in the ICU and supervise nursing staff across all levels. A strong emphasis on patient outcomes and collaborative teamwork is essential in this role.

Qualifications

  • One year ICU/StepDown/PCU experience preferred.
  • Current California RN license required.
  • Basic Arrhythmia Certificate or 12-Lead EKG Certificate preferred.
  • ACLS required within 90 days of start date.
  • Current BLS (CPR) required. CCRN preferred.
  • NIH Stroke Scale Certification within 90 days of Hire required.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for all aspects of adult and geriatric patient care using the Nursing Process.
  • Maintain standards of nursing practice and optimal outcomes in the ICU.
  • Supervise all categories of nursing personnel.

Responsibilities

The tradition of caring that culminated in the establishment of Corona Regional Medical Center® began in 1965, with the founding of Corona Community Hospital. Since that time the hospital has changed to meet the needs of the rapidly growing community. Corona Community Hospital merged with Circle City Medical Center in 1992 and the resulting entity became Corona Regional Medical Center. The merged hospitals are now a 238-bed community hospital network comprised of a 160-bed acute care hospital and a 78-bed rehabilitation campus. It is certified by The Joint Commission, employs more than 1,250 trained healthcare workers and has a medical staff of approximately 347 physicians representing more than 40 specialties.

Reporting to the Director of Critical Care Services this position assumes the accountability of all aspects of adult and geriatric patient care utilizing the Nursing Process and within the guidelines of the State of C alifornia Nurse Practice Act. Accountable for maintaining standards of nursing practice and optimal patient outcomes in the ICU. Responsible for the supervision of all categories of nursing personnel.

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
  • One year ICU/StepDown/PCU experience preferred
