Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking a Registered Nurse in Brainerd/Baxter, MN to join the ICU/Intermediate Care Unit. The role requires a BSN or ADN, active licensure, and 1+ year RN experience in Med/Surg.

Expect 60 hours per pay period with rotating 12-hour shifts, including day and night rotations, and a potential remote/hybrid option. You will lead patient care, delegate tasks, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while adhering to Joint Commission standards.

Qualifications

• BSN or ADN from an accredited nursing program.
• Current nursing licensure in state(s) of employment.
• BCLS certification within one month.
• ACLS certification within one year.
• Minimum of one year RN experience in Med/Surg or Medical unit.

Responsibilities

• Lead patient care across all phases of the patient care process.

Education Qualifications:

• Lead Patient Care: Organize and deliver comprehensive care by managing all phases of the patient care process, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Guide and Delegate: Act as a team leader by delegating care responsibilities to nursing staff based on their licensure, training, and role specifications.
• Contribute to a Greater Mission: Play a crucial role in advancing the facility's and Essentia's mission and goals, making a meaningful impact on the community we serve.
• Ensure Compliance: Adhere to the standards set by the Joint Commission and other relevant federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies.
• Monitor Critical Conditions: Provide continuous assessment and monitoring of patients in critical conditions, utilizing advanced technology and clinical judgement to respond swiftly to changes in patient status.
• Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work closely with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring optimal outcomes for patients in the ICU/Intermediate Care Unit.

This position will work the following:

• 60 hours per pay period
• Every Third Weekend
• Rotating 12 Hour Shifts
• Day Shift: 7:00AM - 7:30PM
• Overnight Shift: 7:00PM - 7:30AM

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
