Responsibilities:

• Deliver safe patient care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Guide patient and family teaching and activities of nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the ICU.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient conditions, including hemodynamic monitoring, diagnostic results, and symptoms.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Critical Care Course completion preferred.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Minimum one year as a staff RN in an acute care hospital; critical care experience preferred.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
