Position Summary:

The ICU is a 6-bed unit providing direct care to critically ill adult patients. Responsibilities include performing care interventions, documenting care, monitoring patient status, assisting with activities of daily living, collaborating across disciplines, providing patient and family education, and advocating for patient well-being. Flexibility to float to other departments and manage ventilators, CPAP/BIPAP, vapotherms, and critical drips is required. Passing a rhythm recognition test within 90 days of hire/transfer is mandatory.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate's degree required; Bachelor's preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within one month of hire
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications within one year of hire
• Handle with Care training within 30 days of orientation, renewed annually
• Valid RN license in Kentucky
