Qualifications

• Active RN (Indiana) license, Compact preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• 1.5–2 years ICU experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Stay calm under pressure; maintain composure during emergencies.
• Facility requires TB test and other compliance checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide ICU critical care during a 13‑week contract.
• Monitor patient status, rhythms, vitals; respond to changes.
• Administer IV meds, vasopressors, sedation, blood products as ordered.
• Operate ventilators and life support equipment.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Document care accurately and maintain infection control standards.
• Be punctual for scheduled shifts and participate in CEU activities.
• Adhere to facility protocols and 1:1 or 1:2 ratios on ICU, 1:3/1:4 on stepdown.

ICU Registered Nurse ( RN )

As an ICU RN, you will:

• Deliver critical care nursing services to medically complex and critically ill patients in a high-acuity ICU setting during a 13-week contract assignment.
• Continuously assess patient condition, monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs, and promptly respond to changes in patient status or emergencies.
• Administer IV medications, vasopressors, sedation, blood products, and other advanced therapies in accordance with physician orders and ICU protocols.
• Operate and monitor specialized equipment, including ventilators, cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, and life-support systems.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain accurate electronic documentation, ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards, and provide compassionate support to patients and families during critical situations.
• Arrive on time for scheduled shifts
• Participate in continuing education and maintain documentation to remain in compliance.
• 1:1 or 1:2 on ICU side 1:3 or 1:4 on step down side

A few must-haves for ICU RNs:

• Active RN or Compact license within the state of Indiana
• Active Certifications Required: BLS &ACLS through the American Heart Association
• 1.5 - 2 years of recent and related ICU experience, as required by the facility
• Must be able to work independently, yet together as part of a team
• Must be able to remain calm under pressure
• Active BLS, physical, TB test, and other medical compliance as required by the facility
