Job Summary

This position may qualify for a sign‑on bonus. The role provides direct clinical patient care and is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing direct care to assigned patients on a per‑shift basis. The role supervises staff, supports the CNO to ensure high quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, maintains clinical staff competency, and manages resources related to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality, safe, cost‑effective, total nursing care to all patients.
• Coordinate and integrate patient care based on the nursing process.
• Direct care according to established standards of safety, risk management, QI, and infection control to discharge patients at an optimum level of care.
• Coordinate and plan patient care within the prescribed medical regime and administer all medications safely and timely per hospital policy.
• Perform and fulfill all hospital incident command system responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles during emergencies or disasters.
• Know the hospital’s emergency codes and adhere to the policies and procedures for each.

Qualifications

Education

• Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in nursing.

Experience

• Preferred: Recent acute care experience.

Certifications

• Required: Currently licensed and registered to practice in the state of employment; AHA BLS; and, if applicable by corporate policy, AHA ACLS, PALS, and/or NRP.
