Job summary

Saline Memorial Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Critical Care Unit. You will assess patients, administer treatments, and collaborate with a dedicated team to ensure comfort and safety. A bachelor’s degree and RN license are required, with ICU experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license and a bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing program.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• ACLS and PALS preferred.
• One year ICU experience preferred.
• ASLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate patient assessments and identify needs.
• Initiate appropriate nursing interventions and care plans.
• Provide age-appropriate care and timely documentation of medical necessity.
• Contribute to Interdisciplinary Care Plans for each patient.
• Conduct timelyQI assessments and communicate patient status to the team.
• Administer medications, collect specimens, and provide other clinical care.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Collaborate across disciplines for transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial support.
• Advocate for the patient's physical and emotional well-being.

Join our team in a Critical Care Unit where you will provide compassionate care to patients alongside a dedicated team of Registered Nurses (RNs). You will play a crucial role in assessing patient needs, administering treatments, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on delivering high-quality patient care.

A Registered Nurse (RN)who excels in this role:

• Accurately performs patient assessments andidentifiespatient needs
• Identifiesand initiatesappropriate nursinginterventions
• Provides careappropriate tocondition and age of the patient
• Performstimelyandappropriate documentationrelating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• PerformstimelyandaccurateQI assessments
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Assistspatients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

Whatwe'relooking for:

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possessa bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school.Additionalrequirements include:
