Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for our 8-bed Cardiac ICU in Charlotte, NC, joining a fast-paced, specialized team caring for critically ill cardiac patients.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of ICU experience. You will collaborate with physicians to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care, and provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing support.

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in the appropriate state is required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• One year relevant ICU experience preferred.

What We Offer

Join an 8-bed Cardiac ICU where you'll be part of a highly specialized, supportive team in a smaller, close-knit environment. This is a faster-paced unit offering the opportunity to care for a diverse population of critically ill cardiac patients.

Our patient population includes:

• Cardiac arrest
• Advanced heart failure
• Pulmonary embolism
• A variety of complex, critically ill cardiac patients

We are seeking an RN with at least 2 years of ICU experience who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and is looking to grow within a specialized cardiac critical care team.

The Registered Nurse serves as a leader of the healthcare team at Novant Health by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their chosen support system, collaborating with physicians and other team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care that promotes optimal health or supports a peaceful death. The Registered Nurse utilizes best scientific evidence and compassion to assist the patient in navigating their health journey. The Registered Nurse accepts responsibility, authority, and accountability for management and provision of care in accordance with the current policies and procedures.

What We're Looking For

• Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
• Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.
• Licensure/certification/registration: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
