Job summary

Lovelace Health System in Albuquerque, NM seeks an experienced RN for day shift, full-time Hospital Outpatient Department Administration in Cardiology Triage. You will triage calls, assess patients, and coordinate care transitions from inpatient to home while supporting 29 providers across EP, noninvasive, and invasive services.

Qualifications include an Associate’s or Diploma in Nursing and NM licensure; BLS within 14 days. ACLS/PALS may be required by the department.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree or Diploma of Nursing.
  • Valid NM Nursing license or NM compact license (within 90 days of hire).
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
  • HIRING DEPARTMENT MAY ALSO REQUIRE ACLS and or PALS.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and manage key patient experience initiatives to assist NMHI in realizing their goal of being the premier cardiovascular service line provider by creating the best patient experience possible.
  • Triage of patient phone calls and patient portals, developing and ensuring customer service standards and driving patient portal adoption.
  • Assist patients with the transition in cardiac care from inpatient to home.
  • Responsible and accountable for the practice of Professional Nursing, to include patient care and staff management assigned to the RN in his/her charge.
  • Develop, implement and manage key patient experience initiatives to assist NMHI in realizing their goal of being the premier cardiovascular service line provider by creating the best patient experience possible.
  • Responsible for triage of patient phone calls and patient portals, developing and ensuring customer service standards and driving patient portal adoption.
  • Assist patients with the transition in cardiac care from inpatient to home.
  • Adheres to policies and procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

RN for Cardiology Triage department. Supports group of 29 providers in EP, Noninvasive, and Invasive departments. Responsible for telephone triage, assessment and treatment of patients. Facilitating nurse visits, earlier provider appointments and management of disease process exacerbations by phone, patient education.
