Job summary

BrightStar Care is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Hospital at Home team in Gurnee, IL. The role provides high-quality nursing care to patients at home, using Acute Care, ER, ICU, Med Surge, IV Therapy and Wound Care experience to help avoid hospital stays.

Flexible scheduling—days, evenings, weekends, holidays, part-time and PRN—supports work-life balance. You will perform assessments, manage IVs, wound care, documentation, and ensure HIPAA and regulatory compliance,

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Illinois RN license required.
• Minimum 1 year nursing experience.
• Experience in Acute Care/ER/ICU/Med Surge/Iv Therapy/Wound Care preferred within a year or more.
• Strong assessment and communication skills.
• Must have valid driver's license and auto insurance.
• Ability to pass background screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to Hospital at Home patients.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring.
• Start and maintain IVs and administer prescribed therapies.
• Perform wound care and dressing changes.
• Recognize and communicate changes in patient condition.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery goals.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, regulatory and quality standards.

Serving Lake Forest, Highland Park, and Libertyville areas $45.00/hour

BrightStar Care is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Hospital at Home team. If you have a background in Acute Care, Emergency Room (ER), ICU, Med Surge, IV Therapy, and/or Wound Care, we want to hear from you. This role provides high-quality nursing care to patients in the comfort of their homes, helping them safely recover while avoiding or reducing hospital stays.

Flexible Scheduling

Days, evenings, weekends, holidays, part-time, and PRN opportunities available.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to Hospital at Home patients
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring
• Start and maintain IVs and administer prescribed therapies
• Perform wound care and dressing changes

Skills & Qualifications

Qualifications

Preferred

• Home Health or Hospital at Home experience
• Peripheral IV insertion and maintenance
• Infusion therapy experience
• Wound Care certification or advanced wound care experience
• BSN preferred
