Highlands-Cashiers Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide bedside care and lead clinical practice in a PRN role within our Mission Health system. The nurse will assess patients, document care, and administer medications while coordinating with the care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

This position supports compassionate, high-quality acute care across our service lines. Candidates should hold an Associate's Degree in Nursing and an active NC RN license, with BLS certification

Qualificações

• Requires Associate's Degree in Nursing and active RN licensure in North Carolina (eNLC may apply).
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification preferred.
• One year hospital nursing experience preferred.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Provides leadership which facilitates the delivery of professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Implements medically prescribed interventions.

What you will do in this role:

• Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
• Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

What qualifications you will need:

• Required Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing
• Required License/Certifications: Must have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON Certificate: BLS Healthcare Provider 4 Preferred License/Certifications: National Certification in area of specialty
• Preferred Experience:One year hospital nursing experience
