Registered Nurse (RN) - Full-Time/Part-Time/Casual All Shifts

Summary of Position:

Under the supervision of the Unit Manager/ADON/DON, the RN assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of residents/patients during a shift. Nursing care is provided through assessment, implementation, and evaluation of the care plan. The RN adheres to care standards, manages the environment to ensure resident/patient safety, and supervises the care activities performed by nursing assistants and helpers. Follows all North Shore policies and procedures, performs duties as defined by the State Nurse Practice Act, and complies with applicable JCAHO standards.

Requirements of the Position:

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State
• Current CPR certification
• Ability to operate necessary supplies and equipment (feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays, medication cart, etc.)
• Meet all health requirements mandated by law
• Ability to relate positively and effectively with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and staff
• Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English
• Basic computer skills with a willingness to learn company applications
• Experience in a fast-paced environment
• Previous post-acute care experience preferred
