Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Unit Manager/ADON/DON, the RN is responsible for a group of residents/patients during a shift. Nursing care includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the care plan. The RN ensures standards of care, maintains a safe environment, supervises nursing assistants and helpers, and follows all policies and procedures, including those mandated by the State Nurse Practice Act and JCAHO standards where applicable.

Requirements:
  • Licensed in the State as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Current CPR certification
  • Ability to operate necessary supplies and equipment (feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays, medication cart, etc.)
  • Ability to calculate drug dosages
  • Meet all health requirements imposed by law
  • Positive, effective communication with residents, families, staff, and community members
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English
  • Basic computer skills and aptitude to learn company applications
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Post-acute care experience preferred
