Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Unit Manager/ADON/DON, the RN is responsible for a group of residents/patients during a shift. Responsibilities include assessment, implementation, and evaluation of the care plan. The RN ensures standards of care are met, manages the environment for resident/patient safety, supervises nursing assistants and helpers, and follows all policies and procedures, including those set by the State Nurse Practice Act and JCAHO standards where applicable.

Requirements:

• Licensed in the State as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Current CPR certification
• Ability to operate necessary supplies and equipment (feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays, medication cart, etc.)
• Ability to calculate drug dosages
• Meet all health requirements imposed by law
• Positive, effective communication with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and staff
• Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English
• Basic computer skills with a willingness to learn company applications
• Experience in a fast-paced environment; post-acute care experience preferred
