Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Unit Manager/ADON/DON, the RN is responsible for a group of residents/patients during a shift. Nursing care includes assessment, implementation, and evaluation of the care plan. The RN ensures standards of care are met, manages the environment for resident/patient safety, and supervises nursing assistants and helpers. Adheres to North Shore’s policies and procedures, performs duties as per the State Nurse Practice Act, and complies with applicable JCAHO standards.

Requirements:
  • Licensed in the State as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Current CPR certification
  • Ability to operate necessary supplies and equipment (feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays, medication cart, etc.)
  • Ability to calculate drug dosages
  • Meet all health requirements legally mandated
  • Effective, positive communication with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and staff
  • Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English
  • Basic computer skills with willingness to learn company applications
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous post-acute care experience preferred
