Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor and Delivery

Work location: Texas Health Frisco, 12400 N Dallas Parkway, Frisco, Texas, 75033

Work hours: Full Time - Nights: Week 1 (24 hours per week) 7:00 pm-7:00 am; Week 2 (36 hours per week) 7:00 pm-7:00 am need to be available rotating weekends.

Labor and Delivery highlights:

  1. Average 120 deliveries per month
  2. Focused on the experience of all who enter the hospital

  4. Supportive of the patient’s vision of the Labor & Delivery process

Here’s What You Need

  1. Associate degree Nursing required or Nursing Diploma
  2. BSN (Preferred)
  3. 1 Year Experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program (Required)
  4. 2 years of labor and delivery experience as a registered nurse (Preferred)
  5. RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire (Required upon hire)
  6. BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly (Required)
  7. NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days (Required)
  8. ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days (Required)
  9. IFM - Intermediate Fetal Monitoring 6 Months (Required upon hire)
  10. NRPA-Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days (Required)
  11. CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days (Required)

What You Will Do

  1. Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
  2. Assesses the patient
  3. Plans the care of the patient
  4. Intervenes as appropriate
  5. Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
  6. Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care
  7. Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
  8. Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
