**Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor and Delivery**

**Work location:** Texas Health Frisco, 12400 N Dallas Parkway, Frisco, Texas, 75033

**Work hours:** Full Time- 36 Hours/Week; Days 7:00 am-7:00 pm (Three-12-hour shifts per week) must be available for weekend shifts.

**Labor and Delivery highlights:**

· Average 120 deliveries per month

· Focused on the experience of all who enter the hospital

· Promote family-centered care

· Supportive of the patient’s vision of the Labor & Delivery process

**Here’s What You Need**

· Associate degree Nursing required or Nursing Diploma

· BSN (Preferred)

· 1 Year Experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program (Required)

· 1 years of labor and delivery experience as a registered nurse (Preferred)

· RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire (Required upon hire)

· BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly (Required) And

· NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days (Required) And

· ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days (Required) And

· IFM - Intermediate Fetal Monitoring 6 Months (Required upon hire) And

· NRPA-Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days (Required) And

· CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Req

**What You Will Do**

· Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

· Assesses the patient

· Plans the care of the patient

· Intervenes as appropriate

· Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions

· Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.

· Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information

· Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
