Job summary

Texas Health Dallas is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the GI Lab. This full-time, day-shift role offers structured growth in a fast-paced endoscopy setting with a patient-centered care approach.

The ideal candidate will have an accredited nursing credential (ADN or diploma), and preferably a BSN. A minimum of 1 year in an acute care RN role and BCLS/ACLS; CGRN preferred, with salary commensurate to experience.

Qualifications

  • Holds an accredited nursing degree (Associate or Diploma).
  • BSN preferred.
  • 1 year RN experience in acute care or RN residency program required.
  • GI/Endoscopy, critical care or PACU experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers care to patients using the Nursing Process.
  • Assesses the patient and plans care.
  • Intervenes and evaluates intervention effectiveness.
  • Maintains continuity of patient care across shifts and transfers.

Education

Work hours: Full Time- 40 Hours/week; Day shift; 0730-1600

Here's What You Need

  • Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program Or Diploma Nurse Program

  • BSN preferred

  • 1 Year of experience as a registered nurse in an acute care setting or completion of an RN residency program required

  • GI/Endoscopy, critical care, emergency, PACU or procedural experience strongly preferred

  • RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Req And

  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req And

  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days Req And

  • CGRN - Certified Gastroenterology Registered Nurse Upon Hire Pref

What You Will Do

  • Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

  • Assesses the patient

  • Plans the care of the patient

  • Intervenes as appropriate

  • Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions

  • Incorporates age-specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.

  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant other's need for information

  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out-of-hospital transfers.
