Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the GI Lab in Dallas. The role is full-time days, 40 hours/week, 7:30 AM–6:00 PM, in a fast-paced endoscopy setting with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Requirements include an Associate degree or Diploma in Nursing, BSN preferred, and 1 year of RN experience in acute care or completion of an RN residency. GI/Endoscopy, critical care, emergency, PACU, or procedural experience is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program or Diploma Nurse Program.
• BSN preferred.
• 1 Year of experience as a registered nurse in an acute care setting or completion of an RN residency program.
• GI/Endoscopy, critical care, emergency, PACU or procedural experience strongly preferred.
• RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Req.
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req.
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days Req.
• CGRN - Certified Gastroenterology Registered Nurse Upon Hire Pref.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
• Assesses the patient.
• Plans the care of the patient.
• Intervenes as appropriate.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
• Incorporates age-specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant other’s need for information.
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out-of-hospital transfers.
