Job summary

Universal Health Services, Metropolitan Behavioral Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time day shift (7 a.m.–7 p.m.) at a 144-bed behavioral health facility in Dearborn, MI. The RN coordinates care, leads LPNs and MHTs, and ensures patient safety across adolescent to older adult programs.

Education: accredited nursing program graduate with Michigan RN licensure. Experience in psychiatric settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program.
• RN license issued by the State of Michigan.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and evaluate patient care with health team members using the nursing process.
• Oversee and direct LPNs and MHTs on their units to ensure patient safety and needs.
• Provide high-quality psychiatric inpatient care on a full-time day shift.

Metropolitan Behavioral Health (a UHS facility):

A bright and beautiful new 144-bed behavioral health facility, Metropolitan Behavioral Hospital provides a full continuum of inpatient services to our community, including specialty programs to serve adolescents, adults and older adults, and perform behavioral health assessments 24 hours a day. Additionally, programs for co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues are offered to meet the unique needs of patients.

Position Summary

RNs coordinate and evaluate patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices. They oversee and direct the LPNs and MHTs on their units to provide for the safety and needs of the patients.

Education and License

Work Hours: Full-Time Day Shift (7 a.m. - 7 p.m.). This position works rotating holidays and every other weekend.
