Job summary

Signature HealthCARE of Roanoke Rapids is seeking a FT Night shift RN to join our 108-bed facility. You will provide direct nursing care to residents, administer medications, support ADLs, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.

Ideal candidate holds an active RN license in North Carolina, CPR/BLS preferred, with at least 1 year of clinical nursing experience; long-term care experience and supervisory roles are a plus. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in NC.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred.
• At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience; long-term care experience preferred.
• Experience in a supervisory/charge nurse role preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents, including medication administration and wound care.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) with dignity and safety.
• Supervise nursing assistants and medication aides per shift.
• Monitor residents' condition and notify physician as needed.
• Develop and review individualized resident care plans with the team.
• Complete accurate clinical documentation per facility policy.

How you Will make a difference

• Provide direct nursing care to residents, including medication administration, wound care, and skilled nursing procedures.


• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) and ensure comfort, dignity, and safety at all times.


• Supervise and direct nursing assistants and medication aides during the assigned shift in accordance with facility policies and regulations, as applicable.


• Monitor and observe residents’ physical and emotional status; notify the attending physician and responsible party of any change in condition.


• Develop, implement, and review individualized resident care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.


• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation per facility policy and procedure.


• Coordinate resident admissions, transfers, and discharges according to established procedures.


• Participate in quality assurance activities, staff education, and regulatory surveys as needed.


• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing or designee.

What you Need to make a Difference

• Current, active RN license in the state of practice.


• CPR/BLS certification preferred (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).


• Minimum one (1) year of clinical nursing experience; long-term care experience, preferred.


• Experience in a supervisory or charge nurse role, preferred.


• Strong clinical observation, medication administration, and documentation skills.


• Knowledge of Federal and State long-term care regulations.


• Effective verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and exercise sound clinical judgment.


• Experience in a supervisory or charge nurse role.
