Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO seeks a Neurology RN (8 East) for Night shift. New grads welcome. Location: Mercy Hospital South, 10010 Kennerly Rd, St.

Louis, MO 63128. Schedule: Full-Time, 36 hours/week, Nights 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM. The Neurology 8 East unit cares for strokes, seizures, brain tumors, and related conditions. You will perform direct patient care, collaborate with the care team, and develop skills in neuro assessments and safety-focused care.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN).
• Active RN license in Missouri or compact state.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (or within 30 days of hire).

Shift:Nights, Weekend | 7:00 PM - 7:00AM

About the Unit

Neurology 8 East cares for patients with conditions such as strokes, seizures, brain tumors, and brain bleeds. Nurses gain valuable experience with complex neuro assessments, safety‑focused care, and close collaboration with neurology providers and therapy teams.

About the Role

The Neurology RN provides direct patient care using the nursing process while collaborating closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. Responsibilities include ongoing patient assessments, care coordination, documentation, and delivering compassionate, patient‑centered care consistent with Mercy’s mission and values.

This role is ideal for nurses who enjoy clinical complexity, teamwork, and continuous skill development.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or compact state
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (or within 30 days of hire)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Prior hospital or acute‑care nursing experience
• Specialty certifications

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and assist up to 50 pounds
• Prolonged standing and walking
• Ability to bend, reach, kneel, squat, and assist patients safely
