Job summary

PAM Health Specialty and Rehabilitation Hospital of Covington is hiring a Registered Nurse for a full-time role in Pennsylvania. The RN provides comprehensive patient care, coordinates discharge planning, and supports patient and family education under nursing leadership.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in the state of employment or compact licensure.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the RN delivers, directs and supervises care to patients admitted to the nursing unit.
• Plans, prioritizes and coordinates patient care including discharge planning, education for patients and families, and community resource referrals.
• May perform other related duties as assigned, including Charge Nurse responsibilities (ACLS required).

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Qualifications

Education and Training: Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification is required. Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment. BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment. Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Experience: One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
